NAMI Broward County is expanding a parent-focused mental health initiative within Weston-area schools, providing families with education, resources, and support to help recognize and address mental health challenges early. By strengthening awareness, reducing stigma, and encouraging open conversations, the program helps parents better support their children’s emotional well-being. Through prevention, education, and community engagement, NAMI is working to build healthier, more resilient families throughout our community.
The Guardian ad Litem Program advocates for children who have been removed from abusive, abandoned, or neglectful situations and are navigating the child welfare system. Funding from this year’s event will help provide essential items and support services for children entering foster care, many of whom arrive with few or no personal belongings. Through advocacy, care, and access to basic necessities, Guardian ad Litem helps ensure vulnerable children receive the stability, dignity, and support they need during a difficult transition in their lives.
